Buy Green and Stay Clean
All of our products are handmade in our studio in Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA.
Why is this important to you? The news is full of new about products made in China. You can feel safe with these products that are made here in the USA where the FDA establishes stringent guidelines for safety.
The minimum size of our soaps is 4 ounces. Most of them are 4.5 to 5 ounces and are labeled on each soap.
Natures sustainable resources and food-grade ingredients are the key to our unique bar soaps. You'll want to use these natural, handmade soaps every day to treat your skin to oils and fragrances inspired by and from nature.
Olive oil is always the base ingredient for our natural handmade soaps for dry and sensitive skin. Then we add shea butter and jojoba to most of our soaps. Hemp oil soaps are rich enough without the addition of shea butter.
Favorite Soap
Oftentimes I am asked which is my favorite soap. While all of them are moisturizing, I do love the luxury of the emu oil soaps.
I loaded this soap with all the goodies that make for a great soap for my "experienced" skin.
My dry, sensitive skin loves anything with goat milk, shea butter, and emu oil. I'm not a vegetarian though and that is why I make soaps that are appealing for all skin types and life styles.
The rest of the handmade soaps are vegetarian and vegan friendly. Most of the soaps are also gluten-free. Oatmeal is the exception here.
And last but certainly not least, we are a cruelty-free company. What does that mean?
We never test on animals, only family and friends.
Your skin will feel incredibly soft and smooth when you use our natural products. You will also find that many seasonal conditions such as the complaint of "dry skin" will be greatly diminished.

 Rosemary Mint Moisturizing Emu Shea Goat Milk Soap New!
This has been a request for a long time. Often times at our market, customers pick up the rosemary mint shampoo bar and say: I love this fragrance. Please make us a regular bath bar that is moisturizing and exfoliating. We listened and here it is.

Hemp Soaps
Sparta Trails Hemp Oil & Goat Milk Soap
As and avid bicyclist, I love heading to Western Wisconsin and the great Sparta Trail.
Take a few days this year and treat yourself to the fine scenery of the area. It doesn't matter what season you go in, it's all beautiful.
At the end of your day you'll need a shower with a moisturizing soap. Make it this goat milk and calendula hemp bar. It is scented with a blend of spice in the warm milk, and honey fragrance base.
Calendula herb is added as a mild exfoliate. This herb is known for it's soothing properties on chapped skin. The goat milk give extra moisture to your skin.

FisherMan Moisturizing Soap
Well, a lot of you may already know that Aniseed oil is one of the best fish attractants around… But PURE oil (for me) was a bit over the top…
Being a soap maker and a pretty smart woman to boot, I figured that a good soap that masks human odors could most definitely be an asset when we take one of those lovely days, launch the boat and drown a few worms.
Little did I know that it is also recommended by the pros to wash your used lures & lines with an anise based soap to fool the fish. So put a bar in your tackle box & take a few minutes to suds up your gear in your favorite stream.
This soap is specially blended to get icky fishy stink off of hands and/or any other body parts that may have gotten slimed while you were reeling in your catch of the day. Clean up hook, line, and sinker....fish on!

Wisconsin Amber Beer Soap
This is a new olive oil and shea soap featuring Wisconsin Amber beer from Capital Brewery of Middleton, Wisconsin.
The beer is is one of my favorite beers to drink and it makes a mighty fine soap.
We also added some honey to this soap. The honey is from a local bee keeper in Somers, WI. This soap is all about Wisconsin!
This particular soap has a the comfortable warm fragrance of oatmeal and honey. Yes it is different from the Island Wheat beer soap. There is an added richness and depth to the base note. Sophistication is the word that comes to mind. The honey is a humectant and adds a creaminess to the lather, while moisturizing your skin.

Oak Soap Decks
The handcrafted soap decks are back in stock and better than those previously offered! Thank you Joe and Erin for your fine workmanship!
These are made from oak and measure 3.5" x 3.25" x .5" and fit our soaps perfectly.
The grooves serve a dual purpose. They allow the excess water to drain off which is really important for a long life of your soap, and when your soap gets thinner, you can place them vertically in the groove for greater efficacy in the drying process.

 End Cuts Ltd. New!
We make our soap in six pound batches, cut off the ends, then hand trim.
These are the end cuts that are left. Each weighs a minimum of one oz. Some are closer to two ounces.
This is a great value! All orders will contain a mix of fragrances.
If you would like to request a certain fragrance, please let us know in the comments section of the order form. There is no guarantee that I will have it but you can always try.
So what are these end cuts good for? The same showers as our full sized bars. The size makes them perfect for travel. I like to keep one in each of my suitcases and that way, I never forget to bring my own soap when I go out of town. Plus, you get the added benefit of having your suitcase smell lovely when you open it. No more of that closed in smell.
Many folks like to toss one under their car seat or place on in their personal lockers to keep it fresh. Possibilities for use are limited only by your imagination.

 Soap Balls New!
Here is another fun, new product. We introduced the soap balls at the market and our customers just love them. Each weighs around 4.5 ounces.
So what are the balls made of? The trimmings of course. We hand trim each bar of soap and the trimmings are just too good to waste. All soaps will contain a blend of fragrances.
Patti's Potions is all about being green so we use the soap shreds for the soap balls. We simply weigh out 4.5 ounces of the fresh shreds, then melt them back into the ball shape. Waste not, want not.
You benefit by getting a quality product at a lower price. These are great to keep at the bathroom sink because the round shape fits sooooo nicely into everyone's hands, big and little. Just don't let little Johnny aim one at his brother Joey when he's miffed.

Most of our soaps are gluten-free, and vegetarian/vegan friendly.
It is noted in the description if this is not so.
I'm often asked if my soaps are all-natural. The answer is yes and no.
Synthetic fragrance oils may be used when the true natural essential oils are unavailable or unaffordable.
Sandalwood is a frequently requested fragrance. The last time we priced pure sandalwood essential oil it was over $750 per pound. This is when we substitute a synthetic fragrance oil.
Many flowers and spices simply do not give up their essences easily or inexpensively. A true rose otto essential oil may cost from two to five thousand dollars per pound.
If you are a rich CEO of a national company or own your own kingdom and are willing to purchase these expensive oils, we will be more than happy to make a quality natural soap with these essential oils, just for you.

We do use organic and free-trade oils and herbs as much as affordably possible.
We love color in our soaps. Nature has many wonderful colorants for us to use. Clays and spices add very interesting natural color and texture.
We believe that color can be fun and add pizzazz to your decor and bathing routine. We do add ultramarine oxides and skin-safe colorants to some of our soaps. |
All of our artisan soap formulas and fragrances are tested on our faces as well as all of our body. We only test on family and friends, never animals.
If for some reason our natural soaps do not pass this critical test, it does not come to our market or web site. |
