Soap Recipes and Formulas
  1. For all formulas, melt the solid oils, then add the liquid oils.
  2. Combine the liquid and Sodium Hydroxide (Naoh), adding the Naoh to the liquid.
  3. ***SAFETY TIP:  Remember: "snow on top of the mountain".
  4. Allow oils to cool to around 110 degrees F.
  5. Add the cooled Naoh mixture to the melted oils.
  6. Stir or use a stick blender which will speed up the process considerably, until you reach light trace. (You will begin to see a thickening of the emulsified solution )
  7. Add your fragrance which has been slightly warmed.
  8. Pour into prepared mold
  9. When the soap is fairly solid in the mold, cover with saran wrap or freezer paper.
  10. Insulate with old towels
  11. Cut after 24-48 hours and let cure for 4 weeks.
  12. ***SAFETY TIP:  Remember: fresh soap can still be caustic. Wear rubber gloves when cutting your soap.
